- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust for spice level)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
- Salt, to taste
- Optional: extra Cajun seasoning, fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the Shrimp:
Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Coat each shrimp evenly for the best flavor. Set aside while you prep the pasta. - Cook the Pasta:
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water for later. - Sauté the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside. - Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce:
In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic in a bit more olive oil for 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce becomes creamy. - Combine the Pasta and Shrimp:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Stir in cooked shrimp and heat through. - Serve and Enjoy:
Serve with extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning for more heat. Pair with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal!
