Marinade

- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (such as sambal oelek)
- 2 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Marinade the steak: Combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sweet soy sauce, black pepper, cornstarch, and baking soda. Add steak pieces, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the sauce: Mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce, and water in a bowl.
- Cook the steak: Heat a skillet over high heat, cook the marinated steak bites for a few minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Serve: Drizzle the sauce over the cooked steak bites and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less chili garlic sauce.
- For a sweeter taste, increase the amount of honey in the sauce.
