Ingredients

– 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 6 slices bacon, or more to taste

– Ground black pepper to taste (Optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

2. Divide asparagus into 6 bundles.

3. Wrap 1 slice of bacon around each asparagus bundle, starting at the bottom, and secure with a toothpick.

4. Place bundles on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with black pepper.

5. Bake in the preheated oven until bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender, about 25 minutes.

Notes

– For a healthier option, you can use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon.

– Try adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese before baking for an extra layer of flavor.
