Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pizza Bombs:

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (about 8 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni (sliced, cut into smaller pieces if needed)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

For the Dipping Sauce (optional):

  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into approximately 12 equal squares.

  3. Assemble the pizza bombs: Place a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese and a couple of pieces of pepperoni in the center of each dough square. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder if using. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together to form a sealed ball.

  4. Bake the pizza bombs: Arrange the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops of the pizza bombs with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.

  5. Make the dipping sauce (optional): While the pizza bombs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in dried basil and garlic powder for extra flavor, if desired. Keep warm until ready to serve.

  6. Serve: Once the pizza bombs are done, remove them from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with marinara dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add other pizza toppings to the filling, such as mushrooms, green peppers, or olives, to make them even more customizable.
  • If you want a little extra crunch, sprinkle some garlic bread seasoning or Italian seasoning on top before baking.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the pepperoni and substitute with more cheese or vegetables.
