Description
Indulge in the crispy and flavorful Chicken Kiev, a classic dish made with tender chicken breasts stuffed with garlic butter and coated in breadcrumbs.
Ingredients
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 pinch salt
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
– 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 4 (8 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
– salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons salt
– 2 large eggs, beaten
– 2 cups panko bread crumbs
– 1 pinch cayenne pepper
– 2 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix garlic, salt, parsley, and butter. Divide into 4 portions and shape into logs. Freeze until firm.
2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place a garlic butter log in the center. Fold and secure with toothpicks.
3. Dredge stuffed chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs mixed with cayenne.
4. Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove toothpicks before serving.
Notes
– For a healthier option, bake the chicken Kiev instead of frying.
– Experiment with different herb variations in the garlic butter for a unique twist.
