Main Ingredients:
- 5–6 strips bacon cut into small pieces
- 2 large chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Flour for dredging
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 7 ounces cremini mushrooms sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup Riesling
- 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream
Instructions
- Prep Bacon: Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Cook Chicken: Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour and cook in the same skillet until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Mushrooms: Add butter to the skillet and sauté mushrooms, Italian seasoning, and garlic until tender.
- Deglaze Pan: Pour in Riesling wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
- Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Combine Ingredients: Return chicken and bacon to the skillet, simmer until chicken is cooked through and sauce is thickened.
- Serve: Serve the Chicken Riesling hot with your favorite side dishes.
