Description

Chicken Riesling is a delicious and creamy dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked with bacon, mushrooms, and Riesling wine. This savory recipe is perfect for a special dinner or gathering.

Main Ingredients:

  • 56 strips bacon cut into small pieces
  • 2 large chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 7 ounces cremini mushrooms sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Riesling
  • 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Prep Bacon: Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook Chicken: Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour and cook in the same skillet until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Mushrooms: Add butter to the skillet and sauté mushrooms, Italian seasoning, and garlic until tender.
  4. Deglaze Pan: Pour in Riesling wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Return chicken and bacon to the skillet, simmer until chicken is cooked through and sauce is thickened.
  7. Serve: Serve the Chicken Riesling hot with your favorite side dishes.
