- 2 oz tequila (preferably silver)
- 1 oz coconut cream
- 1 oz lavender simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- Ice
- Lime wedge (for garnish)
- Lavender sprigs (for garnish, optional)
- Salt or sugar (for rimming the glass, optional)
Lavender Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp dried lavender buds
Instructions
- Make the Lavender Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and lavender buds. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. Let the syrup steep for about 15 minutes. Strain out the lavender buds and let the syrup cool. Store any leftover syrup in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the Glass: If you prefer a salted or sugared rim, run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate of salt or sugar. Set the glass aside.
- Mix the Margarita: In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, coconut cream, lavender simple syrup, lime juice, and ice. Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
- Serve: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of lavender, if desired.
- Enjoy: Sip and enjoy your beautifully aromatic and flavorful Coconut Lavender Margarita!
Notes
- Lavender Syrup: Adjust the amount of lavender syrup to your taste. If you prefer a more subtle floral flavor, use less syrup, or if you love a stronger lavender taste, feel free to add a little more.
- Coconut Cream: For a creamier texture, make sure to use coconut cream instead of coconut milk. If you can’t find coconut cream, you can use full-fat coconut milk but the drink may be slightly less rich.
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the lavender syrup in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.10 minutes (plus cooling time for lavender syrup)
