Description

A creamy, cheesy dip full of savory crab flavor, inspired by the beloved appetizer crab rangoon. Served warm with crispy wonton chips, this dip is perfect for parties or game nights.


Ingredients

  • For the Dip:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Wonton Chips:
  • 1012 wonton wrappers
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth. Add crab meat, mozzarella, green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  4. Meanwhile, slice wonton wrappers into triangles, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve the dip with homemade wonton chips, fresh veggies, or crackers.

Notes

  • Use fresh crab for the best flavor, but imitation crab works too.
  • If you’re in a rush, you can substitute store-bought chips or crackers for the homemade wonton chips.
