Description

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts or thighs (your choice!)
  • Feta cheese
  • Hot honey (or make your own with honey and chili flakes)
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour (or breadcrumbs for the coating)
  • Chili flakes (optional for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Make the Crispy Coating: Mix flour (or breadcrumbs), salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Coat each piece of chicken evenly in the mixture.
  3. Fry the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Rest on a paper towel.
  4. Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce: Mix honey with chili flakes or hot sauce to taste. Heat gently if needed and stir to combine.
  5. Add the Feta: Drizzle hot honey sauce over the chicken and crumble feta on top. Let the heat from the chicken slightly melt the feta.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken by dipping in egg after the first flour coating.
  • Full-fat feta cheese works best for creaminess.
  • Adjust the heat level of the sauce to your liking.
  • If you don’t have hot honey, make your own with chili flakes or hot sauce.
