Description
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and creamy from the hot honey sauce and feta cheese. A gourmet-level dish that’s easy to make!
Ingredients
- Chicken breasts or thighs (your choice!)
- Feta cheese
- Hot honey (or make your own with honey and chili flakes)
- Olive oil
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Flour (or breadcrumbs for the coating)
- Chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Make the Crispy Coating: Mix flour (or breadcrumbs), salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Coat each piece of chicken evenly in the mixture.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Rest on a paper towel.
- Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce: Mix honey with chili flakes or hot sauce to taste. Heat gently if needed and stir to combine.
- Add the Feta: Drizzle hot honey sauce over the chicken and crumble feta on top. Let the heat from the chicken slightly melt the feta.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken by dipping in egg after the first flour coating.
- Full-fat feta cheese works best for creaminess.
- Adjust the heat level of the sauce to your liking.
- If you don’t have hot honey, make your own with chili flakes or hot sauce.
