- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Filling:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Step 2: Make the Filling
- In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, spinach, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Step 3: Stuff & Sear the Chicken
- Spoon the filling into each chicken breast, securing with toothpicks if needed.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Remove toothpicks, if used.
- Serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Cheese Swap: Try cheddar, feta, or Swiss cheese instead of mozzarella.
- Add More Flavor: Sun-dried tomatoes or sautéed mushrooms make a delicious addition to the filling.
- Dairy-Free Option: Use dairy-free cream cheese and nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
