Description

This vibrant and fun cocktail combines Irish whiskey, Midori, sweet and sour mix, and a splash of Sprite for the perfect balance of fruity, tart, and boozy flavors. Ideal for St. Patrick’s Day or any festive occasion, the Drunk Leprechaun is a drink that will steal the show with its beautiful green color and refreshing fizz.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
  • 1 oz Midori (melon liqueur)
  • 2 oz sweet and sour mix
  • 3 oz Sprite or club soda (for fizz)
  • Lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill your shaker with ice: Add plenty of ice to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the liquor and mixers: Pour in Irish whiskey, Midori, and sweet and sour mix.
  3. Shake, shake, shake!: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass: Strain the mixture into a highball or Collins glass, filling it about 2/3 of the way.
  5. Top with fizz: Add Sprite or club soda to top off the drink, giving it a fizzy touch.
  6. Garnish and serve: Finish with a lime wedge or a twist of lime peel.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness: Use club soda instead of Sprite for a less sweet cocktail.
  • Chill the glass: For an extra cold drink, chill your glass in the freezer before serving.
  • Customize the garnish: Consider using mint leaves, maraschino cherries, or orange slices for variation.
  • Make in batches: Scale up the recipe and mix in a pitcher for large gatherings.
