These Easy Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Wings are a perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and smoky flavors! Marinated in a flavorful jerk seasoning mix and cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer, these wings are a quick and healthy option for a delicious appetizer or main course. With minimal prep time and big bold flavors, they’re sure to be a hit at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or coconut aminos for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar or honey (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This will help them get crispy.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture. Let it marinate for at least 10-15 minutes (or up to an hour if you have time).
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little oil.
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If necessary, work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with a side of dipping sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more cayenne pepper or some chopped fresh Scotch bonnet pepper to the marinade.
  • For a slightly smoky flavor, you can add a few drops of liquid smoke to the marinade.
  • If you prefer baked wings, cook at 400°F in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
