Description

Tender flank steak marinated in a savory-sweet homemade teriyaki sauce, grilled to perfection on skewers. A quick and flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
  • For the Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Season the flank steak slices with salt and pepper.
  2. Thread the beef onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  3. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
