- 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
- For the Teriyaki Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
Instructions
- Season the flank steak slices with salt and pepper.
- Thread the beef onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Brush the teriyaki sauce over the beef skewers.
- Grill the skewers over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
