For The Fried Olives
- 1 5 1/2 oz jar of small pimento stuffed olives
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg beaten
- canola oil, for frying
For The Garlic Aioli
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 scant tbsp lemon juice
- 1 heaping tbsp minced garlic
- salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Fried Olives: Drain the olives and pat them dry. Coat each olive in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with panko bread crumbs. Repeat with all olives.
- Fry the Olives: Heat canola oil in a pan and fry the olives until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Make the Garlic Aioli: Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Serve: Serve the fried olives with garlic aioli for dipping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese to the panko bread crumbs.
- Experiment with different types of olives for variety.
