Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pork Chops

  • 4 boneless or bone-in pork chops (3/41 inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-searing)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for extra flavor, optional)

For the Garlic Butter (Optional but Delicious!)

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pork Chops

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station

  1. In one bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  2. In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.

Step 3: Coat the Pork Chops

  1. Dip each pork chop into the egg mixture, then dredge in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.

Step 4: Cook the Pork Chops

Option 1: Pan-Searing Method (For a Crispy Crust)
5. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
6. Add pork chops and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
7. Reduce heat, add 2 tbsp butter, and spoon over the chops for extra flavor. Cook until pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.

Option 2: Baked Method (For Hands-Off Cooking)
8. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and place breaded pork chops on a greased baking sheet.
9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through (145°F internal temp).

Step 5: Garlic Butter Finish (Optional)

  1. Combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley, then brush over hot pork chops before serving.

Notes

  • Crispier Coating? Use panko instead of regular breadcrumbs.
  • Juicier Pork Chops? Let them rest for 5 minutes after cooking to lock in moisture.
  • Air Fryer Option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Pair With: Mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a crisp side salad.
