Description

If you’re looking for the perfect crowd-pleaser for a party, game day, or a quick weeknight dinner, these Ham and Cheese Sliders are the answer! With melty cheese, savory ham, and a buttery, flavorful topping, these sliders are simple yet absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (soft, sweet, or brioche rolls)
  • 12 slices of sliced ham (thick or thin, depending on preference)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sliders: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom intact. Lay the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the Ham and Cheese: Layer the sliced ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, then place Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham. Press the top halves of the rolls lightly on top.
  3. Make the Buttery Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in Dijon mustard, brown sugar, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  4. Pour the Sauce Over the Sliders: Pour the sauce evenly over the assembled sliders, making sure to coat the rolls generously.
  5. Bake the Sliders: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.
  6. Slice and Serve: Let the sliders sit for a couple of minutes, then slice through the rolls with a serrated knife and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra melty cheese, slightly overlap the cheese slices.
  • These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
  • Use fresh, soft rolls like brioche or Hawaiian rolls for the best texture.
