Description

This creamy, tangy, and slightly smoky homemade B!tchin’ sauce is perfect for dipping, spreading, or drizzling on almost anything. It’s quick, simple, and packed with flavor, making it your new go-to condiment for veggies, fries, sandwiches, and more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup raw cashews (soaked for 2 hours)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Soak the Cashews: Soak the raw cashews in water for about 2 hours. If you’re short on time, you can soak them in hot water for 10-15 minutes.

  2. Blend Everything Together: Drain and rinse the soaked cashews. Add them to a blender or food processor along with water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little extra water to reach your desired consistency.

  3. Taste and Adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add more lemon juice for tanginess, smoked paprika for smokiness, or salt and pepper to suit your taste.

  4. Chill and Serve: Transfer the sauce into a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least an hour for the flavors to meld. The longer it sits, the better it tastes. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, you can blend in a little olive oil.

  • If you prefer a more smoky flavor, substitute regular salt with smoked salt.

  • Substitute cashews with almonds or sunflower seeds for a different texture.

  • The sauce can be served immediately but improves after a few hours in the fridge.
