Description

These Louisiana Voodoo Fries are a bold, flavorful snack inspired by Wingstop’s famous voodoo fries. Crispy fries are smothered in a creamy, spicy, and tangy sauce, making them perfect for game night, parties, or whenever you crave a fiery, indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Fries:

  • 1 bag frozen crinkle-cut fries (or your preferred style of fries)

For the Voodoo Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to spice preference)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Fries:
Cook the frozen fries according to the package instructions, either baking or frying until golden brown and crispy.

  2. Prepare the Voodoo Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Cajun seasoning. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the hot sauce and ranch dressing, stirring until smooth. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, then adjust the heat level by adding more hot sauce if desired.

  3. Coat the Fries:
Once the fries are cooked, place them on a serving plate. Drizzle the voodoo sauce over the fries, or toss them in the sauce to ensure they’re fully coated.

  4. Add the Finishing Touches:
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately while hot!

Notes

  • Make it Extra Crispy: For crispier fries, bake them on a wire rack to allow air circulation.
  • Adjust the Spice: If you prefer milder flavors, reduce the hot sauce and Cajun seasoning. For extra heat, add more hot sauce.
  • Vegan Option: Use plant-based butter, dairy-free ranch dressing, and vegan Parmesan to make the recipe vegan-friendly.
