Instructions
- Activate the Yeast: Combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle in the active dry yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Make the Dough: Mix the flour, salt, yeast mixture, and olive oil to form a dough.
- Knead and Let It Rise: Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, then let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Shape the Breadsticks: Punch down the dough and divide it into 10-12 pieces. Shape them into breadsticks and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake the Breadsticks: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Melt butter and garlic powder together, then brush it over the baked breadsticks.
