Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal after baking. -
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. -
Combine the Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until fully combined. -
Add Dry Ingredients to Wet Ingredients
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix. -
Bake the Bread
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top browns too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil for the last 15 minutes. -
Cool and Serve
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For an extra peanut butter flavor, swirl in extra peanut butter before baking.
- For a chunkier texture, use chunky peanut butter.
- To make it extra moist, try adding a tablespoon of honey or sour cream.
- Check for doneness at the 50-minute mark to avoid overbaking.
