Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cheesesteak Filling
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the onions and bell peppers (if using) and sauté for about 4–5 minutes until they soften.
- Add the garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Breadsticks
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
- Evenly spread the steak mixture across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese (or your preferred cheese) over the steak.
- Roll up the dough like a jelly roll, starting from the longer side, and pinch the edges to seal.
- Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch slices and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 3: Bake the Breadsticks
- Brush the tops of the breadsticks with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15–18 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden and the cheese is melted.
Step 4: Serve
