Description

A quick, savory bowl of noodles that can be made in under 20 minutes, using pantry staples like soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil. Perfect for busy weeknights or when you’re craving something cozy and satisfying. Customize with your favorite veggies or protein for an easy meal.

Ingredients

  • Noodles: 200g (about 7 oz) (Any type you like – egg noodles, spaghetti, rice noodles, or ramen)
  • Soy Sauce: 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame Oil: 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, finely chopped
  • Brown Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Green Onions: 2-3 stalks, sliced (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles:
Boil a pot of water and cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Soy Sauce Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and finely chopped garlic. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Toss the Noodles with the Sauce:
Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the cooked noodles and pour over the soy sauce mixture. Toss the noodles around for a couple of minutes until evenly coated and heated through.
  4. Add the Final Touches:
Stir in the green onions for a burst of freshness, and your noodles are ready!

Notes

  • Noodle Type: Any type of noodle will work (egg noodles, spaghetti, rice noodles, ramen without the seasoning packet).
  • For Extra Flavor: Add red pepper flakes or chili oil for a spicy kick.
  • Don’t Overcook the Noodles: Cook them al dente since they’ll be reheated in the sauce.
