Description
This classic Reuben Sandwich recipe features layers of tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled rye bread. It’s a hearty and flavorful meal perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
– 2 slices Rye Bread
– 1 tbsp Butter, softened
– 3 tbsp Thousand Island Dressing
– 4 slices Swiss Cheese
– 4 oz Corned Beef, deli sliced
– 1/4 cup Sauerkraut, drained
Instructions
1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread Thousand Island dressing.
3. Layer Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, and another slice of Swiss cheese on top of the dressing.
4. Top with the other slice of bread, buttered side out.
5. Grill the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
6. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
– For a vegetarian version, substitute corned beef with sliced mushrooms or tempeh.
– Add a sprinkle of caraway seeds for extra flavor.
