Description

Craving pizza but also in the mood for tacos? This Sheet Pan Taco Pizza combines the best of both worlds in one delicious, easy-to-make dish. With a crispy crust, seasoned beef, fresh toppings, and melty cheese, this taco pizza is guaranteed to become a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) – 1 batch (about 1 lb or 450g)
  • Ground beef – 1 lb (450g)
  • Taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade) – 2 tablespoons (or according to package instructions)
  • Salsa – 1/2 cup (120g) (adjust based on desired heat level)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese – 1 cup (100g)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese – 1 cup (100g)
  • Lettuce – 1 1/2 cups (about 75g), shredded
  • Diced tomatoes – 1 cup (about 150g)
  • Sour cream (optional, for serving) – 1/4 cup (60g)
  • Jalapeños (optional, for some heat) – 1-2, sliced (adjust to preference)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pizza Dough:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out store-bought or homemade pizza dough onto a sheet pan.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning with a little water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Assemble the Pizza:
Spread salsa on the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Top with seasoned ground beef, then sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
  4. Bake the Pizza:
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  5. Add Fresh Toppings:
After baking, cool for a couple of minutes and add fresh lettuce, diced tomatoes, and other toppings such as jalapeños or sour cream. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a pizza stone.
  • Make it vegetarian by swapping ground beef for black beans or veggie substitutes.
  • Add crushed tortilla chips on top for added crunch.
