Description

Indulge in this decadent steak and pasta dish that combines juicy ribeye or sirloin steaks with a creamy garlic Parmesan pasta. The rich flavors and tender steak make this a perfect pairing for a special dinner at home.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Steak:

  • 2 boneless ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 6 oz each)

Pasta:

  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your choice)

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the steaks: Season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Add beef broth if using. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Combine: Slice the steaks and serve over cooked pasta. Pour the creamy sauce over the steak and pasta. Garnish with chopped basil or parsley.

Notes

  • You can customize this dish by adding your favorite vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes to the pasta.
  • For a lighter version, you can use low-fat milk instead of heavy cream.
