Description

This Strawberry Pineapple Salsa is the perfect blend of sweetness and tang, adding a tropical twist to your favorite chips, grilled meats, or tacos. It’s super easy to make and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup pineapple (fresh or canned), chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Fruit
Wash your strawberries thoroughly. Remove the stems and chop them into small, bite-sized pieces. Do the same with the pineapple—if using fresh pineapple, peel and cut into small chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain it well to avoid extra liquid.

  2. Chop the Veggies
Finely chop the red onion and add it to the mixing bowl with the strawberries and pineapple.

  3. Add the Freshness
Finely chop fresh cilantro and add it to the bowl. Squeeze in fresh lime juice. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Mix and Taste
Gently toss everything together and adjust salt and lime juice as desired. For more spice, add a chopped jalapeño or a dash of chili flakes.

  5. Let It Rest
Let the salsa sit for about 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of orange juice to complement the pineapple and strawberries.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days for best freshness.
  • Salsa is meant to be enjoyed cold, so avoid reheating.
