Ingredients
- Store-bought pie crust (or homemade if preferred): 2 (9-inch) crusts
- Pop-Tarts (Strawberry flavor, or your choice): 2-3 Pop-Tarts
- Strawberry jam or preserves: 1/2 cup (120g)
- Butter (melted): 2 tablespoons (30g)
- Powdered sugar: 1/2 cup (60g)
- Milk: 2 tablespoons (30ml) (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare the Crust:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the first pie crust into a 9-inch circle and place it in a pie dish. Press the edges to fit the dish snugly and set aside. - Layer the Pop-Tarts:
Slice 2-3 Pop-Tarts into thin pieces and place them evenly over the bottom of the pie crust to form a single layer. - Add the Strawberry Jam:
Spoon a generous layer of strawberry jam or preserves over the Pop-Tarts, spreading it evenly but leaving room around the edges. - Top with Another Crust:
Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the top. Pinch the edges together to seal and crimp with a fork. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. - Brush with Butter:
Brush the top crust with melted butter for a golden finish. - Bake the Pie:
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and flaky. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. - Glaze and Serve:
Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a simple glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the pie, and optionally, add sprinkles or extra crushed Pop-Tart crumbs on top. Slice and enjoy!
