Description

This festive and easy-to-make Valentine’s Day Chocolate Bark is a perfect treat for your loved ones. With a combination of creamy chocolate, crunchy nuts, and vibrant red berries, it’s a sweet, colorful, and delightful way to celebrate the occasion. Perfect for gifting or serving at a Valentine’s Day party!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 8 oz white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 2 tbsp pink or red sprinkles (for decoration)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In another heatproof bowl, melt the white chocolate the same way. Set aside.
  4. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out into an even layer using a spatula.
  5. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer in a zig-zag pattern. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the two chocolates together for a marbled effect.
  6. Immediately sprinkle the crushed freeze-dried strawberries, chopped almonds, mini marshmallows, and sprinkles over the chocolate bark.
  7. For an extra touch, lightly sprinkle with sea salt for contrast.
  8. Allow the chocolate bark to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until firm.
  9. Once set, break the chocolate bark into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute freeze-dried strawberries with raspberries or cherries for a different fruity flavor.
  • This recipe can be customized with your favorite toppings like pretzels, dried fruit, or other nuts.
  • For a vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate and ensure the toppings are vegan-friendly.
